Take the trip of a lifetime with the Queen of Time and a precocious 7th grader
| Seventh-grade Helen has no interest in history until she is whisked away by the Queen of Time to meet Harriet Tubman, Bessie Coleman and other prominent historical figures – not to HEAR about history, but to LIVE it. Will her newfound experience help her solve a modern-day crisis and save her classmate’s future? A time-traveling science fiction romp through Black history. Come for the reading, stay for talkback and thoughtful discussion about this new play from local playwright John Frazier. Helen’s History Hop is presented with the support of the Hayti Heritage Center. All tickets are FREE to the public, but reservations are recommended. |
