And when you pop a truck tire (sorry @lindacraftteam ) on the way to the show, when actor mics keeps shorting out, when you’re hit with a monsoon 45 minutes before curtain, a normal person would ask why do we keep doing it.

And then – ya go to @southernvillage in Chapel Hill. And you see 300+ people set up their chairs on the lawn, and simply pull out their umbrellas when it starts raining in the first 10 minutes of the show - as if to say “we’re here, keep telling us the story.” You remember that you do it because stories are important and people need to hear them. Thank you @chapelhillgov Chapel Hill for inspiring us. We hope you enjoyed the show.

Our sets, costumes, props, and electronics are dried out, and we are ready to do a great show in @townofapex Apex this Sunday, 6/8, 4pm, at Nature Park Amphitheatre. Reserve tickets at https://switchtheatreco.ludus.com/index.php

In a world full of noise and spin, authenticity st In a world full of noise and spin, authenticity still makes the strongest impression. Desdemona stands as a beacon of purity, compassion, and unwavering loyalty. But even the brightest light can be dimmed when surrounded by shadows.
⠀
While she speaks truth, others spin lies. While she offers love, they plant doubt. At the center of Iago’s intricate web of manipulation, Desdemona’s integrity never wavers—even as betrayal closes in.

It’s Othello’s tragedy, but it’s this guy’ It’s Othello’s tragedy, but it’s this guy’s story. While Othello’s fall is the emotional heart of the play, the audience is trapped inside Iago’s mind. His motives are murky, his manipulation masterful, and his charisma… strangely captivating? He’s not just whispering lies behind the scenes; he’s guiding the audience through the entire tragedy, often breaking the fourth wall like a 17th-century anti-hero.

His motive? "I hate the Moor." (But is that the whole truth?)

Actors, take note: Iago (played here by Patrick Lescarbeau) has a heavy lift in the line-learning department, too:
Iago: 1,097 lines
Othello: 880 lines
